We are passionate about local food systems.

About Us

We are Liv and Jonas, the founders of abundant earth.

Our background in agroforestry, permaculture, market gardening, landscaping and environmental science has shaped our journey and passion for creating edible home gardens.

Our desire to help people build home foodscapes is driven by the deep need to reconnect people with land stewardship, the need to reclaim food sovereignty, and the necessity to regenerate degraded landscapes. When we learnt that growing food with natural principles also regenerates land, bridging these social and environmental issues, we knew this was what we wanted to put our time into.

Our mission is to make growing food at home accessible, appealing and empowering, by designing productive and efficient edible landscapes that are complementary to modern lifestyles. We believe in the power of edible home gardens to nurture both people and the environment, while synergising a connection between the two.

Our work reflects patterns in nature and is guided by whole systems thinking and ecological-based principles. We strive to create balanced ecosystems, focusing on soil health, biodiversity and succession to give resilient and abundant food gardens. Agroforestry, regenerative agriculture and permaculture principles imparted to us by our teachers and mentors are an integrated and core part of our work.

Our role is to share our knowledge and expertise with others, so that more resilient, biodiverse and abundant foodscapes can be born, that both regenerate the earth and nourish people.
