Semi-rural property on a sunny, west facing hill.

This project began with an existing, young orchard that was struggling. Our client wanted a more diverse, multi-strata system with medicinal, herb and flowering plants, as well as some more fruit trees added. After the design process, we were able to install and revitalise the system. As the site was on a slope, we established some swales to catch and store water, added soil amendments to remedy the heavy clay soil, and topped the beds with a thick layer of aged woodchip. A few months later, the system was thriving and abundant.
